It is generally acknowledged that acupuncture is an effective means of drug- free natural healing in the treatment of more than 150 disorders. In some cases, acupuncture may be combined with heat applied to acupoints, so that each technique supports and maximizes the other.
In 1979, the World Health Organization recommended the use of acupuncture with and without heat to treat many disorders.
